I Call ’em like I see ‘em

It’s natural to operate by sight, which is really your perspective or mindset of how you see/draw conclusions. Because we don’t see with our eyes, we see through our eyes; it’s our perspective that we see with. The problem for the believer is most see/hear from a societal or worldly point of view as their norm. Having a worldly perspective is fine for some things, but as a believer you can tap into another perspective to view life or your situation from. It’s called a kingdom perspective, it’s seeing like God sees, acting and reacting like God acts and reacts.

Isaiah 55 (NIV)

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.

It’s learning to see life from the kingdom perspective on every situation. An example of this kingdom perspective is shown to us in Matthew 14 when Jesus feeds the multitude, he asks the disciples to feed the people, their response was a normal worldly response. They didn’t know they could tap into the kingdom to fix their earthly problem. Hopefully, we as believers know we can tap into the kingdom to solve earthly problems. When you study the life of Jesus, he is showing this kingdom perspective with every response he gives for whatever the situation. One of the main things the Holy Spirit is doing for all believers RIGHT NOW is helping us to renew our minds.

Romans 12 (AMP)

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [c]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

When I say “I call them like I see them” that saying is nothing more than the common worldly perspective of life’s situation, which we can all see plainly, no skill or vision needed. Going to another level in the kingdom is seeing and responding from a kingdom perspective. Here are some responses I’ve learned over the years.

  • Lift them or the situation up in prayer
  • Decree and declare what the word say’s over it
  • Bind the enemy and loose the solution
  • I may go lay hands on them (pray or use my authority)
  • Keep my mouth shut (think before speaking, use my words wisely)
  • Ask Holy Spirit what to do
  • Just help
  • Rely on God/Holy Spirit to what your response should be

You may think that some of the things on the list are the same. there not praying on something is different than decreeing and declaring.

If we are not tapping into the kingdom perspective we have access to, then what good is it to be in the kingdom. It only works if WE work it. Most believers today aren’t even aware that they are in the kingdom or how to access the benefits of the kingdom. (Read the book “what Just Happen” to learn about your benefits) This kingdom perspective is what separates believers that know the kingdom from believers that don’t understand what the kingdom is about.

John 14 Amplified Bible (AMP)

12 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in My name [[b]as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son.14 If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative], I will do it. 15 “If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.

So your new perspective turns that saying, “I call them like I see them” into “I call them like the kingdom sees them.”  Gaining this new perspective takes knowing who Jesus is and some insight into the kingdom. When you operate from this kingdom mindset you see yourself and circumstances from a view of I can do something about the situation.

1 John 4 (NIV)

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

I believe the Holy Spirit is working to get all believers to this point; that you see yourself and circumstances from a view of I can do something about the situation. You have to understand that although God is sovereign, He doesn’t just see evil, and jump in and fix or stop the problem. It’s our job to use our kingdom power given to us by what Jesus did, remember when Jesus said I give you the keys to the kingdom, that means it’s now our responsibility to get God on the problem. We have to speak and use our faith to get God involved.

Matthew 16 (NKJV)

19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [h]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

We all have a part to play; we come across circumstances and situations every day that need Godly intervention. If you and I don’t use our kingdom authority (the word of God) and speak to the problems we encounter then we are not fulfilling our purpose here on earth. Part of all of our purpose is to overcome the evil we encounter.

So let this be your new attitude

“I call them like the kingdom sees them”

Seek the word because the word works if you work it.
