Sowing and Reaping

A principle established from the foundation of the world.
Question – What are YOU sowing?

Galatians 6 (NIV)
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
Galatians 6 (TLB)
7 Don’t be misled; remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows!
Galatians 6 (AMP)
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap.

I saw this play out in front of me recently. Someone I know was complaining about things not going their way. I happen to know some of the details and circumstances around this thing that wasn’t working out like they wanted. So I took them on a trip down memory lane and pointed out that those words, attitudes and actions that they performed wouldn’t bring the type of results they want in the future. Sure enough I could see why they were experiencing these results. If only we could see into the future what our actions and words today would produce in our future. Those who understand how this law works, work it for their benefit. It’s like seeing into the future; when you sow good seeds, you produce good fruit.

We live in a cause and effect universe.
Some people call it “Karma”.
“What you do, comes back to you”.
As you just read; the Bible calls it sowing and reaping,
God set this law into motion before the
creation of the world.

People who don’t believe or aren’t aware of this law suffer the consequence of their non-believe or their ignorance of this law. Throughout my life I’ve heard people giving credit to fate when things go their way or don’t turn out their way. They say things like “I guess it wasn’t meant to be” when in reality the law of sowing and reaping was at work. I have seen it in my own life and in others. I am no expert on this law, I don’t know if every single word spoken or action taken shows up in our future but I know this law is always at work in this universe.

Genesis 8 (NIV)
22 “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
Matthew 12 (AMP)

36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an accounting for every careless or useless word they speak.

I suggest all of us be generous, kind, forgiving, patient and loving all the time!

When you live your life from this mindset good things will ALWAYS be flowing your way make it your lifestyle. God will show up and show out on your behalf all the time.  Guaranteed you will be amazed at how God always works it out for your good.

I use the word law because it is one, most of us are familiar with the law of gravity when you throw something up it comes down every time because it’s a law. Sowing and Reaping is a law and it too works every time. It is not an instant result but it always comes back to you. The key to understanding how it works is wrapped up in one word perception how you see and discern life is how you will recognize this law operating in your life.  Ask the Holy Spirit to open up the eyes of your understanding He will show you how to recognize this law in operation.

The art of sowing takes place in a variety of ways. It can come out of your mouth, your physical actions, the plans you construct, the energy you give off and the smile on your face. Be intentional watch it come back to you.

Cause and Effect is going on all day long.

Make sure its working for your good.

Seek the word because the word works if you work it.
